Now on to New Business ... 

Last night I was actually checking out my  Pinterest Boards.

I know ... I know ... it's something we probably all don't do enough.

It's amazing how much stuff I forgot I pinned.

So I thought I'd share some of the stuff I had hiding on my

"Clever Ideas Board."

1.  Pick up pet hair using a wet rubber glove.

 The culprit:  dog hair belonging to my grand-pup Hudson.

 Supplies:  One rubber glove ... water.  (These may be hard to find... LOL)

The Result:  Worked pretty well.  Tape works too ... but hey water's free right?

2.  Use Pool Floats to keep your boots upright.

 The Result:  Yup ... it works great.  

Can't say the low cost of the pool floats

is worth it to pamper these ugly Salvation Army finds.

 3.  Use a Pool Float as a base for Wreaths.

The Result:  Absolutarooney.  I use Pool Floats for all my wreaths.

 4.  Scrub your Refrigerator Ice & Water Basin using 

White Vinegar.

The Result:  Didn't want to show you my disgusting ...  er ...  now super clean Refrigerator Basin.

Take my word for it though ... this one works like a charm.

5.  Now this nail polish holder appealed to me. 

 Do you guys juggle (and often spill) your polish?

I wanted something  durable ... not too showy ... and definitely washable.

These durable mats have  latex rubber on the bottom ... so they stay put.

Want Friends ... buy a truck.

As soon as you buy a truck ... seems like every person you know is moving.

Seriously? 

 No matter who ... where ... or when ... if my kids need help moving ... I'm there.

So when Complicated Kai needed help moving from La Jolla to Newport Beach ...

I was on my way. 

 80 trips up and down her old staircase ...

 300 tons of boxes (well that may be slightly inflated) ... and 4 days later ...

she's in her new home.

Here's  the new pad.  It's cute ... not too small ... not too big ... just right.

This kitchen is amazing.  All new ... stainless steel appliances ...

and beautiful cabinets that slowly close themselves.

The owner even lined all the shelves.

(Saved me a ton of work ... cuz mom's always do shelf lining.  It's in the Mom's Handbook)

Great tile in the bath ... marble vanity ... small but perfect.

This rental home is totally new.

Don't you love the smell of new carpet and paint?

I washed every dish ... every sheet ... every towel ... everything!
Kai thinks I'm totally crazy ... and ... well ... so what else is new?
A new house needs a brand new clean start.

I am completely fried!
My bod is sooo tired.  I am now ... before you all ... swearing:
No more moves with staircases!!!

Anyway ... I'm finally home after almost a week without internet ...
television ... a bed ... rest ... a hot bath ... etc... etc.

But ... Back to work!

Truths ... Half Truths ... & Lies

Welcome ... welcome ... welcome to my little

reality show ... er ... blog.

1.  I've been gettin' a  bit of a burr in my saddle lately about some of these

 link-up parties who open their posts like 3 or 4 days early.  

But ... hey ... if ya can't beat 'em ... join 'em.

Welcome to my  Monday  morning post.  Am I too early?

2.   I'm back in  San Diego  with Kai ... the Kaister ... Complicated Kai.

Here I am on her Mac ... that's my signature summer pony tail.

3.  Big news ... I now have a  new place  in  Newport Beach, California.

It's so nice ... small ... but in a cute neighborhood not far from the beach.

All new on the inside ... granite counter tops ... stainless steel appliances.

I'm sooo excited!!

4.  So you can see I've been busy.  Do you like my room decor?

Oh... did you think this was my "moving" look ... no ... it always looks like this.

Well ... what do you think?

Truths ... half-truths ... or lies?

1.     HALF-TRUTH ... yeah ... I'm not really early on my  Monday post ...

 just late for today's  Friday  post.

Although ... does it bug anyone else when you want to link up super early

to a  Wednesday Party  and there are like a gazillion linkees  already... 

cuz they opened the party  Monday  evening?

2.     TRUTH ... Sad to say ... that is me.  I just woke up and it shows.

I am here in San Diego ... back with my daughter Kai though ... YAY.

3.     HALF - TRUTH ... Actually ...  Kai  is moving to Newport Beach.

But ... now ... don't give up on me here ... we are going in with her on the property.

She offered to get a larger place if we wanted to share so we'd have a place to stay down here.  

All my kids live here in Newport Beach and of course ... my sweet Park City (Parker) 

will live only 2 minutes away... HEAVEN!

Now I can stay as long as I want ... months and months.

(Don't tell Kai that)

4.     LIE ... Well you know by now ...  I'm not the one moving.  

Actually ... this isn't even my house ... and no ... none of my rooms 

normally look like this ...  HONEST!

Okay... you guys have a great weekend!  

I'll be helping Kai move all weekend ... and I told her ...

after this move ....  no more stairs!

Silhouette Painter's Apron ...

Thought I'd share with ya ...

My very first Silhouette Project.

My pal ...

Di ... aka  The Cat Lady ...

needed a gift for her niece's birthday awhile back.

To be honest ... she's my best customer.  Her family is really

large and she's always got a birthday or wedding she needs things for.

I'm what you call ... her 

"Neighborhood Last Minute Boutique".

She wanted to personalize a painter's smock for her niece ...

who loves to ... how do you say it? ... er... paint.

She chose a cute pink apron and matching bag.

So ... it was time to break in the new Silhouette.

Of course ... it took me awhile.  I had to figure out what all the 

buttons did.  Yeah ... it definitely took me awhile!

I cut out the letters using freezer paper.

I knew I'd never get them straight ... so hence the blue tape.

I might add ... this was before I discovered transfer tape ... or even

weeding tools.  Yeah I was roughing it ... lol.

Ironed it on ... looks okay so far.

Used a regular paint brush to fill in the stencil.

I know what you're thinking ... I should have used a stencil brush.

I know ... I know... I have one now.

But ... all in all ... it turned out sort of okay ... at least for a

first effort.

I've decided ... don't be afraid to mess up ... although it's a bit

scary when you're doing it for someone else.

Just make sure you learn from all of your mistakes ... do a little

researching ...  (Google) ... and the next time ... it'll be a little easier ...

and hopefully ... a better result.

Okay ... I have a  question ... I'm mulling over the

name ... or watermark ... or whatever it's called that I put on my photos.

Do watermarks really serve a purpose?

As you may or may not have noticed ...

 each of the above photographs ...  has a different font. 

 (Just experimenting.)

  These are the fonts available on Google Albums.

I know other editing tools may have better fonts ... but most involve

downloading my pix from my albums first ... editing ... and then

uploading them back to my Google Albums to add to my blog.

I've noticed some blogs use the same ...

nice ... watermark designs on all their pictures.  

Anyway ... long story long ... if ya have any suggestions ... 

or tutorials ... on how to put together a great watermark ...

 give me a shout ... a call ... a holler back girl ... email ... comment.
