Is this a gorgeous picture or what?  Max's grandma just sent him this awesome blanket.

What more could ya want Max ... your favorite toy ... a new blanket and those eyes ... oh those eyes.

It's amazing that   Mel @ The Crafty Scientist   was able to show off

 Max's beautiful eyes against that spectacular black coat.  Simply a beautiful shot!

Sadie here is a regular here at the Party.  I think there was a song about you ...

Last ... but certainly not least ... my sweethearts ... Willie & Carmelo.  These two

really put the "sweet" into chocolate. I mean seriously ... I love these two.

It's funny so many of us tend to apologize when we put pictures of our  "kids" on our blogs.

My Silhouette Cameo & Murphy's Law...

Well ...  Puppy & Cat Party Week  is in it's last day.

The last hurrah is today ...  Friday at 5:00.

Speaking of painting ... I've been a bit lacking in the posting department this week.

The first part of the week I added these new  Canvas Pet Paintings  into my Etsy Shop.

Aaah ... finally done ... relax ... time for a fun post.

But wait ...

I just found out that the  Craft Show  I've been waiting for ... is scheduled for next week.

Normally that wouldn't be a problem ... 'cept ... we're going down to San Diego for the 4th of July.

(YAY!)

So now ...  all of a sudden I only have 3 days to get my  "rear in gear" ... so to speak.

So I'm kinda workin' like Wiley Coyote.

Murphy's Law  being what it is ... "it's always something!"

Am I the only one who thinks: 

There aren't enough instructions on how to use your 

Silhouette Cameo?

Sure ... they show you what everything is ... but not how to actually use each function.

My current dilemma ... how to cut freezer paper letters out evenly.

 It sometimes grabs ... maybe rips ... and then ... there are spots that don't cut through at all.

Forgive me ... but it's not as easy as you guys make it look.

The only tutorials are ... generally ... individuals making their own projects.

Call me crazy ... (as if you don't already) ...  but it would be nice to have:

 Some basic videos made by Silhouette ...

 showing how to use all the bells & whistles.

Anyhoo ... I worked all night ... tweaking ... adjusting speed ... thickness ...

yada ... yada ... yada.  Finally ... aaaahhh ... yes.

A perfect cut.

But did I save it ?   Nay.  And what was it I said about Murphy's Law?

My laptop ran out of juice ... and I lost all my work ... and worse ... all my settings.

But being the trooper that I am ... (just go with me here) ... I just redrew and readjusted.

Not even a swear word ... at least I don't remember too many ...

and my dog is sworn to secrecy.

So ... gotta get back to work now.

Sometimes when you're just starting out you don't know if 

anybody will ever notice you.  Of course you blog because you love to 

write and enjoy your projects ... but there are times when you begin to feel

invisible.  Having someone notice your work ... can

reinvigorate you.

Puppies at Wimbledon????

Yes tennis fans ... it's that time again.

Time for the most prestigious tennis tournament there is ...

Wimbledon.

Well ... we're pretty excited around here.

Wimbledon ....

with all its royalty ... tradition ... white tennis clothes ...

and don't forget the strawberries and cream.

You can bet we'll be tuned in.

But make ours Kibbles & Bits.

We're thinking maybe we'll try a little  Men's Doubles.

Of course Roddick is gonna have to get a white shirt ... as you can see ... I'm already set.

Fashion Alert! Are you a LoudMouth?

Gonna turn you on to a clothing line that is  crazy ...  wild.

Loud Mouth  specializes in sports apparel  ...  primarily golf  ...  

but trust me you have to see this!

Now I don't play golf ... my hubs and kids do  ...  but  ...  even so  ...

I still  LOVE  these clothes.

They have a ton of men's stuff with  

wild ... over-the-top ... wack-a-doodle patterns.

But ... wouldn't ya rather see  clothing for the 

"fairer" sex?

This ain't your mama's clothing!!!!!

What started out as "golf" attire  ...  is now finding its way into mainstream fashion.

Personalize Your Party Decorations

Everybody's seems to be on the  Silhouette Train ...

and I have to say ... I'm startin' to enjoy the ride myself.

Mind you ... you guys are up there in the engine ... and I'm still in the caboose.

But ... I just jumped on board and I'm learning as I go.

Last month my g-baby  Parker  turned  one and I got  into ...  the decoratin' mojo.

Check out the rest of the party decorations here.   

 I let my new Silhouette help me with the rest.

The theme for the party was  whales.    I found a whale in the

Silhouette Library that matched the whale on the invitation.

I made a front and a back .....  Parker  on one side .....  and a number 1 on the other.

Knowing I was going to  glue them back to back ... it took me

a few tries to get the words and numbers not to end up backwards.

Before making the  fish stick ... I put a  ...  stick in the fish.

( You get it?    I glued the two fish together to make the   "fish stick" )

While I was feeling all  Silhouette confident ... I tried cutting

some delicate  names from blue cardstock.

They turned out amazing ... then they got stuck too.

 They made great table decorations in my $1 buckets from Michaels.

I also used them to jazz up the inside my  gift bags.

 Since I was on a roll  ... I added large letters  to the outside of the bags. 

  They  doubled as  birthday cards  as well.

Not a bad start for one of my first Silhouette project.

There's nothing like "personalizing" decorations and gifts

 to make the event memorable.....

 Now everyone should remember  Parker's  name.

Grandma's are allowed to brag ... right?
