My Silhouette Cameo & Murphy's Law...

Well ...  Puppy & Cat Party Week  is in it's last day.

The last hurrah is today ...  Friday at 5:00.

Speaking of painting ... I've been a bit lacking in the posting department this week.

The first part of the week I added these new  Canvas Pet Paintings  into my Etsy Shop.

Aaah ... finally done ... relax ... time for a fun post.

But wait ...

I just found out that the  Craft Show  I've been waiting for ... is scheduled for next week.

Normally that wouldn't be a problem ... 'cept ... we're going down to San Diego for the 4th of July.

(YAY!)

So now ...  all of a sudden I only have 3 days to get my  "rear in gear" ... so to speak.

So I'm kinda workin' like Wiley Coyote.

Murphy's Law  being what it is ... "it's always something!"

Am I the only one who thinks: 

There aren't enough instructions on how to use your 

Silhouette Cameo?

Sure ... they show you what everything is ... but not how to actually use each function.

My current dilemma ... how to cut freezer paper letters out evenly.

 It sometimes grabs ... maybe rips ... and then ... there are spots that don't cut through at all.

Forgive me ... but it's not as easy as you guys make it look.

The only tutorials are ... generally ... individuals making their own projects.

Call me crazy ... (as if you don't already) ...  but it would be nice to have:

 Some basic videos made by Silhouette ...

 showing how to use all the bells & whistles.

Anyhoo ... I worked all night ... tweaking ... adjusting speed ... thickness ...

yada ... yada ... yada.  Finally ... aaaahhh ... yes.

A perfect cut.

But did I save it ?   Nay.  And what was it I said about Murphy's Law?

My laptop ran out of juice ... and I lost all my work ... and worse ... all my settings.

But being the trooper that I am ... (just go with me here) ... I just redrew and readjusted.

Not even a swear word ... at least I don't remember too many ...

and my dog is sworn to secrecy.

So ... gotta get back to work now.
