I seem to be the "Little Shop Around the Corner"
for my friends that need last minute gifts.
***btw...not complaining here***
My friend's son was getting married last Saturday and she realized
he hadn't got his groomsmen anything.
The conversation usually starts like this,
"Could you do me a favor ...."
So wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am ... we decided on
Etched Monogram Mugs.
Having done these before HERE with Super Hero Logos ... I knew they'd be great!
Here's a pre-project tip ... get those nasty price tags off using a hair dryer.
First step ... cut out vinyl monograms on the ole Silhouette.
My new Cameo's been getting a good workout these days. Learning the ropes.
This is the most involved part of the whole process. The more I do ... the easier it gets.
I used regular shelf lining vinyl to cut the monograms ... stuck on the transfer paper ... and
positioned it carefully on the mug.
***Scissors work too ... just keep the letters simple!***
Here's the easy part. Really slather the etching cream on.
Just be careful not to let it run or drip onto the bottom of the mugs.
I leave my etching cream on a good 30 minutes ... after that ... hold it under a warm
faucet spray to wash off all the cream ... then remove your stencil.
I did 10 mugs in all ... and to be honest ... the whole project took
about 2 hours ... tops.
We put some bright ribbon around the handle ... dumped those puppies
in a decorative bag ... and bazinga ...
Perfect Monogramed Bridesgroom Mugs.
