Smore Thanksgiving Fun

Can you stand a few more Thanksgiving pictures?

The absolute best thing about the holidays ... is to have your family back together.
The worst thing about the holidays is sometimes it doesn't last as long as you want ...
or you have to share time with other parts of the family.  But ... that didn't even seem to matter
this Thanksgiving.  Since half the family came on Wednesday ... and the other half came Friday
morning ... we decided to wait until Friday for our feast.  We actually have done this for a few years.
So ... while others dine on their turkey ... we  spend our Thursday enjoying our
Official Thanksgiving Day Family Activities.    After our pancake breakfast ... we have our
Annual Mixed Doubles Tennis Match.
This year the family cup was won by yours truly and my son Bryn!
There was lots of huffing and puffing ... only a few bad calls (haha) ... and lots of laughing.
Next up was The Muppet Movie.  Super fun movie.
Friday we welcomed the arrival of the remainder of our clan ... including ...
dogs ... dogs ... and more dogs.  Five wet noses in all.  They were such fun.
But the star of the day was Parker Rhodes Mercado ... celebrating his
1st Thanksgiving.  He really helped me with my photography.

We also had a great meal.  Where's the turkey you ask?  Well ... to tell you the truth ...
I had it catered from a local Chinese Restaurant.  Yes ... really ... and it was delicious.
Oh ... and of course we had plenty of pie.
After dinner ... a couple went to the local high school football playoff game ... and the rest of
us decided to stay cozy by the fire.  We had a little wine ... well ... I had my usual
Diet Coke ... and then we made smores.  This will have to be an annual event for sure!
We tried to finish a game of Apples to Apples ... but we found ourselves
doing more laughing than playing and lost our momentum.
Way too soon ... the weekend was over.  All tuckered out ... everyone packed up and
headed home ... much to my dismay.  But a good time was had by all ... and I console
myself by knowing Christmas is only 4 weeks away!
